SARASOTA, Florida - (October 20, 2008) - SouthTech Solutions, Inc., the Sarasota-based technology solution provider, is pleased to anounce that as of October 1, 2008, Shelley Langston has joined their team as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Shelley brings over 20 years of experience in the technology business to SouthTech.
Shelley began her career in the early 1980's at IBM Canada as a Computer Systems Engineer and was quickly promoted to a National Account Executive. While at IBM she was responsible for technical computer installations, sales to diverse geographical territories & public and private sector accounts. Shelley then moved on to Ernst & Young, converting a service organization into an effective sales organization by introducing sales programs and creating cross-selling opportunities with
different business units including accounting, consulting and information technology. Microsoft Corporation out of Redmond, WA was her next logical move as a Senior Account Executive responsible for clients across the USA and North America.
After leaving Microsoft in 2001, Shelley spent 5 years doing volunteer work for local children's charities and ran her own successful consulting business for clients throughout the USA. In 2006, Shelley expanded her business knowledge and began working as a health care advisor in the employee benefits industry for AllTrust Insurance.
In addition, Shelley holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, Canada.
"As Vice President of Sales & Marketing for SouthTech, I am responsible for annual sales planning, business development, market positioning, strategy and collateral development, account management, contract negotiations and public relations," Shelley Langston stated. She will also establish programs and support systems for the recruitment, coaching and development of the sales force and the sales process.
